In the summer period, especially the months when the weather turns hot and humid, you will need a device which could provide you with comfort. Misting is a great way to overcome the conditions of hot summers. This is so because with the misting system you can add some moisture to dry air as well as bring the hot temperatures down bringing you the desired comfort.

People make use of misting fans for providing cooling in outdoor lawns, garages or patios in their homes. They are even prevalent in commercial places like amusement parks, fairs, restaurants and showrooms.

These misting systems work on the mechanism of evaporation system to generate a very fine mist which relieves the immediate area of heat and stress. This works on the simple mechanism that when small water droplets get released in the warm air, they readily absorb all the heat of the air and release themselves as vapors. This conversion of liquid to gas generates a cooling effect which is called evaporative cooling. These fans can be easily used in outdoors or in areas where cooling with ACs is not possible.

Most of these systems are quite easy to install and maintain and are completely environmentally safe. They consume very small quantity of water. These cooling devices are of three types: High pressure, Medium Pressure and Low pressure.

High pressure devices have fans which are designed to generate maximum cooling effect which is suitable for large areas. These systems are operated on 800 pounds or more pressure and are somewhat expensive due to sturdy materials used in construction due to high pressure they handle.
Medium pressure devices are used in commercial as well as residential locations. They are chosen for residences as they are more efficient and not too expensive. They operate at around 200 pounds pressure for water.

Low pressure devices are operated on normal domestic water pressure. They are very cost effective and their usefulness is somewhat limited due to less of pressure and materials used.

The reduction of temperature in an area depends upon the levels of humidity in the area which is to be cooled. The places with more humidity require a large fan effect. The portable nature of fans allows them to be placed at different areas wherever required. An efficiently installed high quality misting system would enable you to enjoy in open spaces on even hottest summer days.

Growlab 145l with two 1000 watt switchable ballasts, 12 individual deep water buckets with two air stones each running off of two commercial eco plus 3 air pumps, carbon filter, three 8 inch inline fans for air cooled lighting, exhaust, and air intake with a dust shroom. Two vornado air mover fans and two lasko 48" osciallting tower fans, and a small humidifier. Biggest weak area is water temperature in buckets and can't effectively use CO2 enrichment due to constant exhaust system. I will hopefully be able to top off water everyday with cooler water from the reserviors. Anyone think it would be worth it to run any type of CO2 enrichment?
